A: Yes, we are both Christians and have been active church members since childhood. We both have served in Christian ministry in international missions, local church, and denominational service. We both have advanced degrees in theology. We are prepared to provide you with professional counseling regardless of your own religious beliefs. We believe that we do have insight and knowledge that is an added benefit for Christian clients.
Q: Does Anger Resolution Therapy really work?A: Yes, and absolutely! It is required that the client be motivated. i.e., It is required that the client want to succeed in overcoming his (or her) problem with anger. The client must be willing and able to cooperate with the directions that are given for overcoming anger. given those things--motivation, willingness, and ability to cooperate with directions--the client will have a very high likelihood of stopping their problem with anger quickly and with great success.
Q: How long does it (therapy) take?
A: There are two parts to the answer to this question. First, sessions are usually 1 or 2 hours in length. Second, most problems for which people come to therapy can be dealt with in something between 10 and 20 sessions. Couple therapy, for example, usually requires 10 to 20 sessions across 10 to 20 weeks.
Q: Do you have a more intensive format available?
A: Yes. We are both accustomed to doing therapy with an individual or couple for several hours in a day. Sometimes individuals come with a desire or need to meet for 2 or 3 hours at a time, once or twice per week. This can be very effective, allowing for greater continuity, more rapid progress, and dramatic change in a short time.
Q: Do you use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy?
A: Yes, we do. We also use solution-focused techniques, emotionally focused couple therapy, anger resolution therapy, and other modalities.
Q: What are the most common problems that you treat?
A: Anxiety, depression, marital conflict, and anger. We are also experienced in helping with many other types of problems.
Q: How long have you been in practice?A: We have both been providing therapeutic services fulltime in various venues since 1996. We began Trinity Relationship Services in Forney in 2009.
Q: Do you ever work together in therapy?A: Yes, indeed, we do. And we think that this is a great way to work, especially with couples. The per session cost will be higher.
Q: How much does therapy cost?
A: We charge $100 per 50 minute session. We accept cash or check and to not handle your insurance. We will provide you with a receipt with our National Provider Identifier number as well as our Tax ID number, which you will be able to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Most health insurance plans do not pay for couple therapy. Health insurance plans require specific diagnoses such as Major Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, etc. in order for treatment to be reimbursable.
Q: What is the best way to conact you?A: Cell phone or email.
